µPD720101 is USB2.0 Host Controller certified by USB Implementers Forum. Compliant with USB2.0 specification. One EHCI ( = Enhanced Host Controller Interface ) and two OHCI ( = Open Host Controller Interface ) are integrated on single chip. The Controller has completely compliant with EHCI specification Rev1.0, and also has shrunk its power consumption and performed effectively than µPD720100A. The controller has PCI that specification Rev2.2 and five USB downstream ports, is suitable for designing USB Interface on PC Motherboard by Cardbus, Add-in Card and for battery application ( NotePC / PDA ). Each USB port will keep its connectivity with USB1.1 devices, and provides High-Speed data transferring by USB2.0 spec.
